I am not a fan of CLion. It feels clunky. Might be my old hardware, but idk.
At work we use Visual Studio. It's heaven for C# and C++ development. Most of us tried CLion and Rider on the newest hardware but then also. It run very sluggish and pretty slow file indexing.
At home I use neovim. It's very lightweight and it suits my needs.
Vscode is also great. For me it's neovim with better out of the box experience. You have everything installed, and if you don't like tinkering with you config file, them it's probably for you. But I don't like electron and don't want to support it. That's why I choose neovim.
At the end it's just another tool
