UCLA offers Immanuel Quickley

Scholarship

Immanuel,

Hey, this is pk0523, coach of UCLA and former coach of UVA. As I've watched you play throughout your high school career, I've noticed that you resemble a prototypical guard. You can handle an offense properly and create your own shots, something lots of guards aren't capable of doing. Not only that, you're taller than most point guards which give you an advantage. I understand you want to leave the life you lived at Maryland, with all your negative influences and abusive dad. I see you've had a rough upbringing and are ready to move on, so that's why I believe coming all the way across the country to Los Angeles is the best option for you.

You don't seem to care about much except for campus life and education, so I'll begin by talking about the education we offer here at UCLA. UCLA is one of the most prestigious colleges in the nation, being ranked 9th in the NCBCA. UCLA is the most applied to college in the nation, receiving more than 92,000 freshman applications. 38% of UCLA undergraduates receive Pell Grants, among the highest percentage of any top-tier university in the country. UCLA offers 3800 courses, 125 plus courses, and also offers 80+ minors. By coming here, your choices will be endless. If you're still undecided on what you want to study in college, the top six most popular undergraduate majors are business economics, biology, psychology, political science, economics, and psychobiology. The U.S. News and Health Report ranked UCLA as number 10 among the top universities in the world. If you're looking for a job after basketball, UCLA offers 42,000 full time jobs at their facilities. UCLA alumni have moved on to become successful, hosting 13 Nobel Prize Awards, 38 Academy Awards, 261 Olympic Medals, and 113 NCAA Championships. That's the type of opportunity and success we bring at UCLA.

Finally, the campus life here at UCLA is something quite special. the UCLA campus is surrounded by various, unique neighborhoods, such as Bel Air, Brentwood, and Beverly Hills. LA is a culmination of so many unique backgrounds. Los Angeles is home to over 4 million people with the 15th largest economy in the world.

I know you don't care much about the pros or playing time, but we can guarantee you a major role in our team next season. I hope the rest of the recruiting season goes well for you, and good luck on the rest of your college decisions!
