27 years today (almost to the exact moment), three 8-year-old boys went into the woods in West Memphis, Arkansas, and never came home. This is in remembrance of them.

When you're right, you're right. I guess the wild speculation is definitely a problem that arises with the true crime community. To be fair, I didn't say whether or not I think he did it or not, just saying who he was and why some people believe he may be involved. I guess getting innocent people out if jail isn't enough, and people always want closure. As if, they are owed it or something, like it's a fictional series they've willingly invested time into, so the creator owes them a resolution.

I personally tend to believe, it was probably some transient serial killer. Or maybe a serial killer from nearby Memphis, TN. I don't think being someone with a history of drugs, violence and the lifestyle that goes with that, translates very well into psychopathic child rapist/torturer/mutilater. Not saying someone can't be both, but they just seem like two very different breeds of criminal.

The investigation was botched so badly at the beginning, when they lazer focused on the three teen boys, I don't think the case will ever be solved. Unless the true killer ends up in jail at some point and confesses and is able to offer some proof.
