5th trip on Turo and someone crashed my Hellcat. Any advice?

See that’s what I thought too. (Because I am a MLO for PNC bank)

I originally thought that Turos “payout” system through travelers insurance was done through one of the “legacy insurers” (Geico, Allstate, etc.)

(Because that’s how commercial insurance underwriting is usually done.) (the “settlement” check would say “travelers insurance” on it.)

Through underwriting.

It’s not. Turo is not a “commercial insurer” even though the “payout” comes from “travelers insurance” if you look at your “payout” check.

It actually comes directly out of Turos corp. bank account.

(No I’m actually serious.)

if you don’t believe me ravekidplur is a previous employee of turo.

He can elaborate further. Essentially Turos original “legacy insurer” liberty mutual, was apparently losing so much money from turo.

They “dropped” Turos underwriting coverage.

If you look at your total claim settlement checks withen the last 2 years it says on the check. “Snapsheet, Turo claims”

The money that hosts are now getting for “total claim” settlement payouts is now coming directly from turo (or travelers insurance is paying turo and then turo is paying us.) either or.

previously 4 years ago the “settlement checks” would have “liberty mutual” written on them.

They no longer do. It simply says “turo claims”
