And no, it doesn’t protect people from criticism or self reflection. It promotes it. You seem to want to remove it to protect yourself from criticism and self reflection.

With free speech both your opinion and my own opinion can be discussed. Under your ideology only you can discuss it. That seems awfully one sided and it shows that it was made to suppress any opinion other than your own. The only one suppressing criticism and self reflection is you.
