I never said Canada was better than America at all. I used to live near one of the most notable residential schools in Canada, I'm well aware of how fucked up we have been. There were people younger than my dad who still suffered PTSD from their experiences, it's awful.
I'm saying that in America it's considered history. Native Americans are completely forgotten about when it comes to racial inequality, and their issues never even touch the National stage.
Canada's is a shitfest that people are still trying to fix - but at least everyone in the country is aware of it, and it's considered a national issue. Canada is no doubt worse, but my original comment is referring to countries that don't acknowledge their atrocities.
