I am disappointed that Jungkook performed in Qatar.

Thanks for your take from a sport fan's perspectives. It is easy for ones like me to boycott this World Cup as I never care that much for the sport to begin with. I am also not gonna lecture my sport fan officemates, who just cheered together in bliss for USA first goal, on how this event was built on the deaths of migrant workers. I also know my family members who are aware of the human right issues in Qatar would still watch this WC. Perhaps, this is why I feel these discussions mostly go nowhere. Sure I wish JK and Bighit didn't get involved, and I understand how SA fans feel disappointed by his decision. But I just selfishly chose to believe that he came to support the positive cultural aspects of this mega sport event, not the Qatar's government. The guys have shown through words and actions how they are committed to making this world a better place to live. It just seems far fetched to me to deem JK as fake and performative, or even supportive of anti-LGBT agendas, just because he performed at a country whose government upholds these outrageously outdated beliefs.
