You’re incorrect about the core principles of antinatalism. AN is about compassion and reducing human suffering. Many people grow up and live their entire lives in squalor, violence, and unrelenting illness. And most people’s lives have a very healthy, if not disproportionate amount of any combination of these things. You said “it’s as dumb as antivaxxers since most of them were vaccinated as children” but they’re not even remotely comparable situations. Antivaxxers are blissfully unaware of any disease and suffering they may cause while the crux of antinatalism is about empathy and addressing the fact that they way we live our lives effects other people, while AVs are focused on themselves and their families. If you had even bothered to read anything in the sub info OR in the three authors I suggested you’d know that. And about human extinction…what about all of the many other species we’ve driven to extinction? If you’re so pro-science why is that ok but reducing our population is not? Do you really think the world can sustain more than the 7+ billion people we have now? But you’re too much of a follower to the typical life script to admit that.
