AOS I-485 (Family-based I-130) Cover Letter and Supporting Documents

Immigration lawyer here. This is not legal advice and the following information should not be construed as establishing an attorney-client relationship. This is simply helpful information that you may or may not choose to use in your immigration applications that you are submitting: 1. Send three separate checks or it will be rejected. 2. Only need 4 passport style photos of beneficiary. 3. One copy of the G-1145 is sufficient. 11. Send more. 4-6 months worth of each. 13. Send more. 4-6 months worth over the last couple of years to show commingling of funds. 17. Yes. Good idea. Pictures copied onto an 8x11 paper. Don’t send actual photographs. You want to make it easy for USCIS officer to review without going through various sizes and types of paper. That reminds me…send copies of your above mentioned statement /bills. Don’t send originals. 21. This is overkill. 10-15 pics preferable time stamped (screenshots from Facebook or Instagram are good resources for time stamped pics ) again, don’t send original photos. Send copies of photos on 8x11 copy paper. You can fit like 2-3 per paper. Explain who or what is on each photo. Without context, USCIS officer will not know what they are looking at. 23. You don’t need these. Your other evidence is likely enough. ****You may want to add a Form I-131 Advance Parole to give beneficiary permission to leave the u.s. while AOS is pending.
