Discussion around Tourettes

I'm not a doctor, but I regularly work with patients who have Tourettes syndrome, amongst other neurological issues, as do many other medical professionals who aren't doctors. I also have Tourettes syndrome myself, I know first-hand what the symptoms feel like on a personal basis. It exprreses differently in each person, but excusing Ethan's behaviour as being due to his Tourettes is simply misguided. People are attributing his behaviour to a syndrome they simply don't understand. If Ethan wants to explore this issue further, it should be done with a professional, rather than speculating online first without the necessary diagnosis.

I'm not saying what the cause is, but I also thinks it's wrong for people to talk about conditions they clearly don't understand.
