Applying for Medicine or CS?

I don't think CS is "unstable" but competition is certainly getting fierce and it's becoming even more cog-in-machine-like. I just graduated from Stanford and struggled to get a top job (only 2 interviews at top place) and had many friends who straight up did not get a good job despite internships and strong GPAs. The job is also fucking boring (I guess this varies by where you are—a startup is probably better than FAANG) and the only saving grace is my salary...for now.

Anyways, you have to explore this yourself. Medicine is a long and arduous pathway for an arguably more fulfilling and significantly more prestigious job, but if you force yourself down this path without having a true passion for it you'll be miserable. CS is easier to break into and get a decently paying job if you work hard, but it's often not fulfilling at all and pretty boring/depressing.
