And people doing other exam boards, because GCSEs are on a national, even global scale. So if somebody doing edexcel scored as good as someone doing AQA (let’s say, both at the minimum for a grade 8 in what would be their respective grade boundaries), then the edexcel student will be at a disadvantage when simply comparing grades in a college application, because if you took AQA you would get 9 free marks, whereas edexcel you wouldn’t. I don’t know how to explain this well, but don’t reply saying ‘the grade boundaries get adjusted bro’ because you’re not listening.
