It was my 2nd week at my new job and I usually spent a good amount of time browsing through Instagram since I didn’t have much to do. Usually, any post with volume was SFW so I just played posts out loud without headphones. This was around 3 years ago when IG wasn’t too batshit crazy with memes.

So it’s 10 AM and there are 4 people within my area working at their desks when I’m looking at a post of someone stirring chili with the caption “SOUND ON”. So I put my sound on (BIG MISTAKE).

Turns out, it was a spoof blasting porn, extremely loud. After scrambling to turn my phone off and a couple of “Ohs” and “Fuck yeah harder baby” , it was completely silent and the lady across from me was in shock. I frantically tried to explain what happened which probably made me look even more guilty and my boss next to me was half laughing/half are you fucking kidding dude.

Luckily my boss was willing to validate that it was an IG video prank and everyone just laughed it off but easily the most embarrassing moment of my life - definitely thought I was going to get fired or known as porn guy - or fired porn guy.
