Are seasons 6 thru 8 worth watching?

I still don't understand how anyone can say the last two seasons are not "worth watching".

How busy is your life? Do you only have a few predetermined hours that you mark in your calenders every January 1st for annual leisure activities?

"Well shoot, Bubba, I'd love to go to Talladega with you to watch the big race, but last month I watched part of the Seinfeld Season 6 DVD. I don't got another free hour till July"

Dexter is a show that people watched for almost a decade. Each season is composed of, what, between 10 and 12 hours? You will meet people who would place the Dexter ending alongside the birth of their own children, if ranked by importance. You will meet people who would rather have bamboo shoots driven under their fingernails than to sit and watch the end another time.

Aren't you curious to know which one of those things you will embrace when you finish a few days or weeks from now?

Isn't that what we all want in a television show? We want to have an emotional reaction - something to take with us. If I stopped every single show once a season got a score under 90% on RottenTomatoes, I would never have finished most of the shows I've watched.

You watch it for closure. You watch it so when you are seventy four years old and you think back to your younger years, you will have memories and sensations entwined with your recollection of the show. Your grandson gets off his plasma laser board and says "who's this C Hall Michael" (the future is weird) "guy on the news who passed away?"

And you will have nice, warm fuzzy feelings emerge with flashes of dismembered body parts in the recesses of your mind.

Just watch it damnit
