Attendance

I don't know...I keep going back to the Barca game...a full house...with many of them booing RBNY. This is the Metro. We're not NYC but we're in the Metro as much as Boston and Rhode Island are in New England. 5 minutes south east and you're in the Brazilian side of town. RBNY doesn't need trains to connect.

Fishkin called it a disconnect.

He was referring to News 12 running...talking it up. The players out there, pleading on insta. Signs up on the Path...There's a disconnect somewhere. Barca sold that building out and folks were paying large to see it. People do appreciate the sport.

Here's something to think about. Last week Red Members that attended all the home games got an on field experience and a net cutting. BWP and Lade took care of photo opps. That's great...but how about the whole team goes out there? Struber? The whole staff? Okay maybe just a few of them...Just a thought. How about connect with the people who showed up every game. Every home loss.

That was a pretty awful record at home. By comparison, today wasn't all that bad, considering the losses to Colorado... to Minnesota... to Orlando...and losing to NYCFC. Nothing could compare to that Philly loss though...getting run out of the building while Dru Yearwood was kicking the ball into the fans in the stands. Those were embarrassing losses...

Today, as soon as Lewis Morgan was announced as subbed out, I knew it was over. Guy just opened the scoring and was injured celebrating. What!!?? And just like that- Here come's Dylan Nealis. Come on, you knew it too lol.

And if we're interested, I mean, really interested...you can drop $25 to stop by RBA and hear Aaron Long and Dru Yearwood talk on a podcast. What will they say? I'm sure they'll say what everyone wants to hear...that we'll get 'em next year.

I don't know what's keeping fans away. I mean, there are those 13 years to consider...That really does soften the blow for whoever is on that side of that argument, doesn't i? Anyone can say whatever they want, till the cows come home. But there's always that 13 years.

And then there's that bit about those 15K empty seats this afternoon, What does that say?

And on a side note, why does that fucking NYFC thread about the trophy/cup room keep popping up the 'More Like This' around here??? Is there a way to turn it off? I got it...it was a great joke. It really was. But why here?

I love this team, and can't wait till next year. That sounds ridiculous almost, but it's true. I can't wait until next year. I'm a little sorry if I offended anyone with this. I'll regret posting it tomorrow after sobering up lol.

12:00 on a Saturday Afternoon, when people are apple picking...doing fall type shit...many town festivals, I know my town had a bunch of stuff going on. Just saying. But I think Fishkin was right, there's a disconnect.

I agree with Hyper too...it's 12P on a Saturday, on a weeks notice- tough to fill. But on the other hand, if this game is at 7p on a Saturday, and they had a month of Sundays to promote...I'm not sure they're doing much better, as this is the way the joint looked from jump street back in Spring.

The net cutting ceremony and BWP and Lade out there...it just didn't sit right. Especially after all the player pleading on insta and twitter. I'm knit picking, but I'm hung up on that disconnect.

This was a lot of venting. If you're still reading this, I apologize.

Okay, Jack Daniels is done talking...putting the head on the pillow. Last night I could hardly sleep because of this game. We (my son and I) were on the field for the RBNY flag/banner deal. We had to be there at 11a for that, so on line, all we saw were ppl walking by...we were hoping for a big crowd walking out there. Here's a pic of reality.

'The greatest fan base'...yeah, that was bandied about in Tolkin's...Edleman's...and Long's messages...but none of them came out to thank people the week before. To thank the few who came out every single week to watch some of those performances...All of that had nothing to with today's loss. It probably didn't have anything to do with why people didn't come out today either. But maybe it will have something to do with why people don't come next year. Not me, I'll be there lol. I'm new here still. I haven't been disconnected yet.

Thanks Hyper, for all of your posts throughout the season. I can't believe you're not a mod here as you kept this place alive and active.
