I don't blame anyone for suggesting Dyson, or Shark, or Bissel, because that's likely all they know. Want to know why? Because these companies aren't vacuum companies. They're marketing companies that happen to sell vacuums, and it works.

You're not paying $700 for a vacuum. You're paying like $600 for the marketing and $100 for the vacuum.

If you want an actual $700 vacuum, have you ever heard of the company Sebo? No? Probably because they don't really do much in the way of marketing, and instead deliver an actual $700 vacuum.

Something like the Sebo Felix will massively outperform any Dyson you throw at it.

Now - I'm sure you have zero issues with your Dyson. Many people don't. I've burned through Dysons and Bissels with my huskies in thick carpet.
