Bollywood audience doesn't deserve good movies.(rant)

Let’s compare Brahmastra as an introduction movie to another introduction movie, Black Panther.

Black Panther introduces the audience to a whole new world with Wakanda, and it explains the history and background of the country and its political system.

Yes, the main character of the movie is T’Challa, who is the Black Panther, but the whole movie isn’t solely revolving around him, there is a solid supporting cast of characters who are all well developed and properly introduced and established within the first movie.

Lupita N’yongo (Nakia) is a spy and much more than just T’Challa’s love interest. T’Challa’s mother and sister Angela Bassette (Queen) and Letitia Wright (Shuri) have a substantial role in the movie. The Wakanda officials and warriors all play important roles in the movie- Danai Gurira (Okoye), Daniel Kaluuya (W’Kabi) and Winston Duke (M’Kabu). Then there is also Martin Freeman (CIA agent). And of course, the movie also provides it’s antagonist Michael B Jordan (Killmonger) with a lot of depth and substance. They show his whole backstory and explore his motives. All these characters come together in the storyline and each person has a purpose, a motive, and a distinctly defined character.

THIS is how you make a good introduction movie. You establish the world it’s set in, the way that world runs and operates, the rules, history and backstory. You introduce and establish the protagonist, antagonist AND all the supporting characters and everyone has depth, substance, and plays an important role.

Compare this to Brahmastra which ONLY focuses solely on Shiva and leaves all the remaining characters (Isha, Guruji, Junoon, Brahmansh members and students) completely unexplored and lacking any depth or substance. Brahmastra fails as an introduction movie!
