I will remake Shamshera.

I'll just get rid of the songs, will change the script and narrative.

The synopsis would be that both Shamshera and Shuddh Singh are cops. They were assigned a mission to infiltrate a revolting tribe and get information about their leader , a man who has never been seen.

Shamshera and Shuddh Singh start the infiltration, but sooner Shamshera realises that unlike him Shudh Singh is a pure psychopath whose only goal is to get a chance for more bloodshed and he faces a moral dilemma, to support this tribe which indulges in archaic practises and delves into human sacrifices or the empire which is trying to enslave them for Britain's colonial economy.

Then Shamshera falls in love with a girl from the tribe, while Shudh Singh is searching for a chance to cause mayhem. The girl gets pregnant and Shamshera becomes a father. Shamshera fools Shudh Singh into believing that now is the correct time to attack the tribe. Shamshera hatches some fake intel and with some pulling of the strings he burns the whole platoon along with Shudh Singh, but he too is caught in the fire. But some members of the platoon survived and they drag out a severely burnt half dead person, who they identify from the ring on his finger as Shudh Singh. Now a doctor discovered some sking graft technique and this half dead Shudh Singh became a subject of the experiment which succeeded

Now Balli's born and his mom tells him about the valour of his father and how he had protected the whole tribe back then from the Imperial army and how the killer Shudh Singh is still alive and his father was burnt to death. She says that Balli has the same birthmark of a trident on his head just like Shamshera, he too is destined for great feats like his father. Though the other people of the tribe don't like this as some speculate that a masked man in the night twice every year comes to meet Shamshera's mom , thus putting a question mark on her character. In the meantime a new chief is selected here and this guy for some skin, liquor and money sold out his tribe. Shudh Singh again comes with the army to occupy the tribe, Balli thinks its time to counterattack.

He builds up a small army, who mask their faces, use knives as weapons, uses, swords and spears and arrows to attack. Their chainmail armour protects them. Balli also figures out how to make gunpowder and hand made bullets for guns. Thanks to a loot of the the firearms Balli realised how to make the ammo.

In a major turn of events Shudh Singh is shown in the background tailing Balli and noting something in his diary.

Then he suddenly kidnaps Balli but to the latter's surprise he doesn't imprison him in a jail rather in a secluded room, then he removes his cap and shaves off a bit of hair from his scalp, this shows his birthmark and Balli realises that he isn't Shudh Singh but Shamshera himself. Due to a freak coincidence his scalp didn't burn and the brits didn't know of his birthmark under his long hair.

Then the father son duo bonds and decides to take on the Imperial army. Shamshera stages a fake operation and puts the whole imperial army in a trap. Realising that Shudh Singh never made it out alive the army commander attacked the duo. The commander had his suspicions when Shudh Singh after recovery was bit lenient to the prisoners and revolutionaries, some thought it was his change of heart due to near death experience, other's thought it's insignificant.

Anyhow, in the grand finale the duo subdues the commander but Shamshera is shot. He dies in the arms of Balli and says to tell his mom that he loved them, he was the secret beneficiary who sent them money, twice every year. He regretted that he didn't allow his wife to see his face as the face of Shudh Singh is not something he is proud of.

The whole narrative would be like Balli's life/Shamshera's life, till the scene where we see Shamshera getting rescued and mistakenly identified as Shudh Singh. Then the narrative will strictly follow Balli and snippets of Shamshera (now looking like Shudh Singh) waking up from nightmares involving that incident and then looking with rage at the mirror. (this is to make people think of Shudh Singh's haterd of Shamshera but in reality it is Shamshera's frustration to be trapped in Shudh Singh's identity.)

Balli now takes up the title Shamshera, reaches out to other anti british and pro independence tribes and his platoon of daredevil men and women who dons the masks, prowls at the night, saves the innocents from the clutches of the imperialist subjugators.
