Don’t get married, fellas

I have an aunt and her pre-nup was tossed out because it was written when she and her husband (who’d been leading a double life the whole time) didn’t have two kids, were not the legal guardians of the ex-husband’s niece, and didn’t own various properties together that they had both contributed to. He kept less than half but a decent amount of the shared property because she did stay home during the years she was raising the kids and he cared for it. In terms of marriage financial stuff I have heard of some workplaces requiring some post-nup things which stands for a long time but that is very specific. Basically the sooner you get divorced after the prenup, the more likely it is to be used.
