After getting an MA and now 3 years in, I’m trying to get out of the field and into graphic design. Before you decide that you want to do this, I would really look into what the reality of working in museums is like right now and how we are treated. Luckily lots of workers in the field are working towards transparency and you can find people speaking about what’s happening on twitter and Instagram especially.

I admire the people who are able to put up with this kind of abuse because of their passion for museums, but for me as a non-wealthy, non-connected person all it has done has diminish my love for museums. Consider if it is worth the risk for you.
