Cancel Student Debt

Well, you should read your loan contract before signing it. It's all pretty clear, and if it was not to you, you should have had someone else look over it or not sign it.

If you can not afford college, you shouldn't go. They are basically selling you a very expensive ticket to the middle class. Maybe you'll get luck, get a worthy degree, and a job and pay off your loans quickly. Or, maybe you'll drown in the debt for years and years.

The average college tuition has risen approx. 180% over the last 20 years. Basic 'Supply and Demand' philosophy says that if less people go to college, the demand will drop, and subsequently, so should tuition.

Instead of canceling debt, maybe we need to cancel the need for most of these useless degrees.

Remember, making the government payoff student loan debt is only going to hurt the middle and lower class, especially the ones who never even went to college in the first place. Why should the immigrant mother of 3 see her taxes increase because you couldn't read the fine print on a loan application?
