Central Europe by CIA World Factbook

Today, the word "Europe" has become synonymous with the European Union. Europe, nowadays, has more to do with politics than geography or culture, in reality. Otherwise, going by geography and culture, Russia and Belarus are European. However, calling Russia a part of Europe is as retarded as it gets considering Russia is three times larger than Europe.

People politically say "Europe and America" - and do you believe "Europe" in this sense includes mother Russia, which clearly by geography is the largest country in the area? No it does not. Russia is Russia. Definitely not Asian, and too large to be European.

Bold claim, given that 99% of the world can't even find Poland on the map.

Oh that's definitely true. But I'm going to be blunt here, I'd say 70-72% of the world know what Poland is, mainly due to it historically being a victim and getting partitioned trillion times. Among the people who know what it is, the vast majority consider it Eastern Europe.
