Chrissy Teigen Reveals Meghan Markle Reached Out to Her After Son Jack's Death: 'She's Been So Kind'

Not to mention, People is the mouthpiece for celebrity PR in the US. Perhaps when someone is telling their truth, they should take the opportunity to then provide resources for anyone struggling with the same kind of trauma. There’s no point in telling your story to tens of millions of people (besides PR) if you aren’t going to provide resources for those who recognize your struggle because they are dealing with similar struggles. “Nice people” who experience trauma tend to share their stories to benefit others..... to share how they were able to overcome adversity..... to inform people about resources they may not have been aware of that could help them..... not to gain sympathy or pity. “Nice people” want to help others not have to go through the same experiences they went through, or at least let them know how they can find help and get through it. When I see anyone going out of their way to tell stories like that without also doing something to help others who are having similar experiences, I can’t help but to think they’re (best case scenario) exaggerating, or (worst case scenario) being completely phony.
