Claire’s Chocolate-Hazelnut Galette des Rois

This came out really tasty. It was not too sweet and I really enjoyed the taste and texture of the chocolate hazelnut frangipane filling. Great with coffee or tea! I ended up using some leftover store bought puff pastry, but next time will definitely use homemade for the extra buttery flavor. I couldn’t find blanched hazelnuts, so I roasted some raw hazelnuts and used a towel to rub off the skins. I only made one vent in the top crust prior to baking, but next time would make multiple, slightly larger ones since I had a lot of doming. Even though it domed heavily, I think it ended up fine after slicing. Overall I’m very happy with it and might try it with other frangipane variations!
