While I strongly disagree with you, I think it is entirely unfair the amount of downvotes you are receiving.

I don't know how old you are, but less than 15 years ago, the primary belief of the denial was that it's not even happening at all. It hasn't completely died out, but there are plenty of people who have hung their hat on the (non-existent) "stall" in global warming.

It's the new argument, now that it is virtually undeniable that it is happening, that we have no control over it.

Basically, what I am getting at is you are being led astray by the same group of people just shifting the argument so they can justify continuing to ignore the problem.
