This is why code reviews are a good thing

There's only a single scenario this should happen, and that is, if the developer is a (very, very) junior.

Unless you're developing in a language where this sort of verbosity's required, this really should only occur if the developer is a (very, very) junior, either in language, or in craft.

But I've seen commits from numerous, seasoned developers, with well over 10+ years of experience, that contains shit like this. To me, it signals you're a sloppy human being developer, without (required, IMHO,) knowledge of the tool you're using, or unwillingness to better yourself.

If you're building a smooth, vertical scroller in javascript for Uncle Joe's Burger co., sure, go ahead. I couldn't care less. But not if you're building device drivers, API back-ends, or even games. If you're in the serious market, meaning public-facing, with data-integrity, or stability being business critical services, and you use this fucking shit: Go hang yourself. Or, you know, just fucking learn.

if (isCrazyMurderingRobot) really isn't that hard.

Sorry guys, but this shit triggers me something incredible.
