Redditors who've physically fought their bullies, what happened, and what was the aftermath?

I was bullied heavily in middle school and I studied martial arts for about 9 years. Eventually my main bully moved away and all was well. But a new kid came from another school and started things up again. He was on the baseball team with me and it was disgustingly annoying for over a year before finally when he hit me first at an assembly I had enough and beat him senseless in front of about three hundred students.

The entire group of students there was clapping and cheering as we were courted out.

Principal asked what happened and I didn't lie. I told him he'd been fucking with me for over a year and people would attest to it, which they did, while the other kid lied and played baby. I want to point out this guy was twice my size and had no idea that a year later I would go on to be a NASKA runner up and a PROAM champion on the united states martial arts circuit. He picked a fight with the wrong guy, got beat, and couldn't handle the heat.

The principal and I were good friends as I was on the Honor Roll and received highest honors from my school etc. and he told my mom on the phone he was sorry he had to punish me. I went home, he went home, and when we came back I was the most popular kid in school for a time. I was propositioned for fights and I actually almost took one up with a friend as a friendly boxing match but he didn't show up. It was kind of funny going from total loser to feared football player slayer over the course of a week. It was not well worth the effort however as I was not allowed to go to GSP for the transgression.

TL;DR: Beat up a football player, attained popularity, did not get to go to a summer program for high achieving students despite being the highest achieving student at our school. In other words. It was kind of worth it but not really. People kept wanting to fight me after the first one. Also ended up a professional fighter for a few years after that while I was in high school. Was a lot of fun.
