This team is much better than where they are now. Its not just goal scoring its the whole organisation of the team and how they play. they won the league last year, if we were 6th or something or even top half of the table then there wouldnt be this questioning. Ancellotti has always had teams playing better attacking football than Mourinho does so its not an excuse. This team has all the creative talent in the world but theres never anybody to finish chances (Costa). Theres only so long that you can blame the 22 man squad and the players Mourinho keeps on selecting before you realise there are wider problems. Football has changed, every team in the world needs good build up play to be able to produce chances. you cant rely on a team full of players who will score screamers from 40 yards out which is what it seemed he wanted with Pogba. A midfielder with physicality that can also score bangers. You get "goal scorers" by converting chances. We create chances but theres never anyone to finish them and first and foremost it starts with your striker who has been poor since January. I've never seen Hazard, Oscar, Willian play so badly not even under Benitez. Mourinho has sucked the attacking life out of this team and they are still in that grind out 1-0 wins playstyle, it will never work with a team like this made up of technical players who arent physical beasts to shrug off people in this league. In the final third we're clueless against any team that parks the bus and all teams do it now and hit us on the break. for the possession we have we never create consistent spells of attack and the chances we create are isolate incidents. We can do two things Mourinho changes his stubborn shit football and plays to this teams streghths or we get rid of lots of players and he builds up a physical defensive team that he probably wants. We dont even know if he can get teams to play consistent attacking football. The best football we saw from his team was last season for 6 months but that hasnt been there for months. they play the way the manager wants them to play its as simple as that
