I’m not saying it doesn’t work for her. But there is a ton of pressure within female groups to play the nice girl and not be labeled a “mean girl” or a bitch. If you mistakenly get labeled such because others don’t know the full story, you now have an army of people who think it’s their moral obligation to give you the cold shoulder, or sabotage and punish you for “being a bitch”.

Putting it out there isn’t as possible or accepted coming from a woman as it is from a man. I’ve done it on jobs before and been unfairly held responsible by female admin who had the spirit a woman must be friends with everyone or else is being a bitch who needs to be humbled and put in her place.

That’s just advice that oversimplifies and is broad handed within the delicacy of the social situation. If I walk up to this person at work and say “I don’t like you” that’s considered confrontational, and being a poor team player. Do yoh get that?
