Throughout the series, there have been many references that could be to occultism within the show that keep the door open to sci-fi/metaphysical explanations. Just a few recent examples - the recap before Season 3 episode 1 highlights destiny and illusion. During the episode, Irving says, "When we lose our principles, we invite chaos." Whiter0se talks about Elliot's pure unadulterated rage being stronger than anything he or his associate has to accomplish Stage 2, and said they must let Elliot's will be their guide. Rage fueling will for power and momentum is a principle of occultism. Previously, Whiter0se tells Angela she wants her belief. It is clear Whiter0se discussed something with Angela that was more mystical than a profitable business plan - something that requires belief. Business doesn't require belief - you make a judgment call based on performance metrics. The collider in Switzerland has inspired all sorts of metaphysical theories in communities online and after reading about those, I knew before S3 E1 that Zheng's/Whiter0se's project was a collider (without looking at forums or going down the QR code rabbit hole). There are mineral deposits in other areas of Africa so I wonder if there is something else special about the Congo, especially if it is metaphysical.
