Episodes like Episode 8 are the reason this show is better than 99.9% of TV shows AND movies out there.

The way I see it this episode is the point of the show and everything else exists to support it. Without an episode like this, where you at least try to delve deep into the characters and their potential for choice, change, into who they are and why they are that way, the show is hollow. This is it man, this episode is one of the fucking choices. One of the real choices Eliot makes. That choice might seem small but it isn't. You need to understand what t means and why it happens, and what it means is not just some small personal thing for Eliot. You should view everything through it. It's not just for pacing and contrast, it is literally the damn soul of the show. If you don't get it, you don't get Mr. Robot. You might like a lot of Mr. Robot, enough to be a true fan sure, but you don't get it. The point is more than the politics, the experience is more than the action. Let Mr. Robot into your heart.
