Considering moving to Tulsa

you can get to anywhere in tulsa from anywhere in tulsa in 15 minutes. 1 bedroom apartments can be found in the 500-550 range. two bedroom condos with a yard available for 700. since your in south tulsa ill go ahead & advise against The Vintage on Yale apartments. they're nice and have a beautiful view, but they're at the top of a big hill & getting up that hill in the sleet/ice we regularly have here in January/February is a problem. you can't even walk up that hill in ice. the winters are damn cold, wind chill to -9 last year, & the summers are screaming hot, heat index values in 110-115 range.

there ARE racist here. they're everywhere. but there is also great diversity in this area. i think you should acknowledge that racism exist everywhere ignorance does & you may encounter here or anywhere. dont let this issue weigh on your decision, there are many good people here.

tornados do happen every year. tulsa seems to get lucky though. driving on snow is much easier than driving on the ice we typically get here. were in a temperate zone that can sometimes hover at the freezing mark. snow juuuuust starts to melt & then freezes solid at sundown. that ice is what makes driving in tulsa winters dangerous. even if your experienced driving on ice, you can't control the other people on the road who aren't so i just suggest staying home or walking to get what you need. remote start for your car will solve the ice on the windows issue. $300 including install at best buy.

I'm from the area and tulsa is an entertaining, profitable & enjoyable place to live and there are SO MANY progressive world class projects happening here.
