Could you build a FWD 4x4 truck?

No I understand the point, I just don't think it's necessary. But the Auto industry is all about innovation and technology. Just understand that you'd be probably one of the first ones to ever do this so there's not going to be a lot of information available for you. So be prepared to either hire people who know what they're doing or to learn how to do it yourself.

Also another solution to your problem would be to have a transfer case with the ability to split the power variably between the front and the and rear tires in full time AWD. You can possibly use a standard truck 4 wheel drive system but design a different style transfer case that adapts to the road conditions manually automatically.

I have no idea how this would be done as I just wrench that's another possibility.
