since the stud spins with the nut.. the threads are stripped in the timing cover..
you need to plan on a helicoil repair.. i hope there is enough material to do it..
i expect the thread size to be 8MM x 1.25.. have you done helicoils.. installing helicoils video.. https://youtu.be/4mCb5beSLNw
chances are the nut and the stud are still ok after you remove the damaged threads from being over tightened..
i would also while set up.. helicoil the other 3 holes.. for the reason that if one has pulled out. chances are the others are weakened.. since there is a big fan blade spinning on the pump .. this might save you a massive comeback..
please put long bolts in the other water pump holes.. so you can eyeball straight easier..
if your helicoil kit does not come with an installation tool.. find a nut slightly larger and run the helicoil tap thru it.. allowing you to wind the helicoil into that.. so you can hold the nut with a wrench or pliers while you turn the helicoil into the threads..
if you bugger it up.. bend the top loop of the helicoil 90 degrees and use a flat bladed screwdriver to back it out of the hole..
since there are places on the pump that create a cavity behind the pump mounting surface.. you can get a pry bar in there and pry the pump forward slightly while turning the nut and stud..
i would take the belt off so when the pump comes out the coolant does not saturate the belt if you are not already planning on replacing it..
