Tumbleweed works great for me as my main distro. I'm sorry you had so much trouble.

Just so you are aware, if you want to help things improve then well-written bug reports can be helpful, but reddit complaints generally do not go anywhere. If there's a specific problem you want help with, though, I have found people on here to be helpful as long as you ask respectfully.

In the end a distro is just a tool, and you should use whatever tool suits your needs. Just as I don't take offense at someone working on his house with a different brand of hammer than I use, I don't think you'll find many people here taking offense that you prefer other distros for your needs.
