Cross a Black Hole Event Horizon

There is a lot to say on this topic as a whole really. I’d recommend you read Professor Brian Cox and Professor Jeff Forshaw’s book ‘Black Holes: The Key to Understanding the Universe’. You’ll get a more complete and in detail answer here with diagrams to help you understand what is happening. They go over different scenarios of people crossing the even horizon at different speeds.

But in general, yes from an outside observer you’ll appear spaghettified “forever” whilst on the inside you’d continue to the singularity. Also, yes when particles fall into the black hole, a lot of energy is released. If you look at a picture of a black hole, you’ll see the orange glow around it and that is hydrogen gas falling into the black hole which is being lit up from the tremendous amounts of energy.
