Cross Canada trek...please read on

As some key that's done it back and forth at least a few times, here we go: (although I only took greyhound)...

Montreal is probably the most amazing city in Canada. Good food cheap and so much culture. Don't worry about speaking French they're bilingual. If I didn't live in BC I'd live there hands down.

Ottawa is forgettable. Government town and very boring. I guess if you want to see the parliament building?

Toronto is very, VERY big and is a double edged sword. On one hand so many attractions and sights, lots Of work is you wanna stay, but....so violent. Like American city levels of crime. Because of its sir it takes forever to get anywhere. I would probably say do it once and never go back.

Now, we get to the massive expanse of land between there and Alberta....well. Literally from Sudbury to Calgary is a waste of time. Do not, I repeat DO NOT go to Winnipeg. Very violent, only place I witnessed an Ederly lady get her head kicked in. At 9 in the morning. Saskatchewan. Is okay good people I guess just flat. Actually had a soft spot for it, just boring.

Calgary is junior Toronto, alright place some okay culture. Good places to camp out, lots of parks etc. crime is meh. DO NOT go to Edmonton. Near-Winnipeg levels of crime.

Now, BC. I really, really liked Kelowna. Awesome culture, lake vibe. Chilled out and good weather. Vancouver I would avoid. Here's why: While it is gorgeous to look At, it's prohibitively expensive with a huge drug problem. It's modern and has an amazing transit system, jobs are decent but low paying. Also you're living in six months of rain which really is not good for your mental healthcare.

Victoria too is like the opposite of Vancouver. Still rains in winter but oh so mild you can kiss -20 winters goodbye. Decent culture too.

Any other questions hit me up, like I said Ive been to every city in Canada over ten years.
