Ex-SO of 5 years was cheating on me with another guy for around a year while we were together during the 3rd year of our relationship. I was working 80+ hours a week for my family business trying to prove to my father he could retire. This girl/demon was unemployed but she had a great relationship with my family so she was allowed to come and go from my house as she pleased. Her home situation was not ideal so I decided I wanted to change that for her. I would only see her in the morning before work in my bed and at night in the same place. Come to find out she was seeing her other boyfriend while I was busting my balls to provide for her; (car payment, gas money, weekly allowance). Eventually I found out after my buddy found a photo of some dude I have never seen before holding the dog I bought for her with the caption “my girlfriend has the cutest dog”. When I questioned her she broke down and told me “I needed to show her that I loved her more” and that it was my fault because I didn’t give her the attention she deserved. Tried to make things work but for 2 years before I finally noped the fuck out. I let her keep all the lavish gifts, car and clothes, (even the dog but that’ broke my heart). Jokes on her now, I run a successful business and have a new girlfriend I plan on asking to marry me in the coming year. The demon works 3 part time jobs, bounces from man to man, and occasionally messages me when she’s drunk in an attempt to “make things up to me”.
