Cycling's unspoken pestilence

First you must wash the area at least 2x daily with soap and water. Dry thoroughly.

Then, make sure you change/wash the towel each time - if you reuse the towel you will likely reintroduce the fungus.

You definitely don't want to wear cycling shorts more than once without washing. If you wear them again, you will literally be grinding the fungus back into your junk.

The jock itch creams do work. Here, too, diligence is critical to successfully treating it. Apply it morning, noon, and night.

Oh, and did I mention that you must clean thoroughly and often.

On another note, some people notice that their diet can affect the occurrence or severity of crotch rot. YMMV.
