Dad reflexes kicking in just in time

I've worked on stations on London Underground for 20 years. You can sometimes tell when someone is going to jump and be ready to prevent it. A lot of jumpers go to a station knowing they will jump, but a large number are spur of the moment decisions. I've seen the impact it has on witnesses (have witnessed myself, also prevented a few) It really screws people up. I also recently passed out as a train driver. It ruins a driver. Some keep driving, but always wonder if they could have done something to prevent it (unlikely, it takes a long time to stop a train) A lot of drivers retire. Spend the rest of their lives riddled with guilt. Lose their good wage and some default on their mortgage. Several have ended up divorced. Some even take their own lives after it happens. I also agree you should be allowed to end your own life, but doing it this way ruins so many other lives too. Also, the majority of people that jump don't actually die, they get horribly mangled, but live.
