DAE think it's a bit hypocritical for some reporters to basically portray small business owners as idiots for potentially knowingly exposing themselves to corona to make ends meet while the reporter is basically doing the exact same thing?

I don't think most people have ever put any thought into the simple choices they make every day that put them at some small yet real risk every day. Even simply driving a car or being near a road puts you at risk of a drunk driver slamming into you for example. I feel like this was a little mortality reality check (perhaps not even their own, ex their parents being mortals) many people were not and are not really ready to face.

I listen to podcasts quite a bit recently. Folks like Joe Rogan desperately want to be able to explain this away like they were not taking enough vit D or they were not fit or they didn't eat right. Plenty of professional athletes for example get cancer or other serious aliments. Disease is not always predictable and it certainly isn't fair. People really struggle with sometimes you just get a disease and you cannot prevent it.

These two issues alone are going to take people time to process. It will be a long road to normalcy.
