What's the appeal of Apple?

I don't even like macOS, it feels antiquated in some ways (like how hard it is to browse the interface with the keyboard-only compared to Windows), and they've sacrificed power user appeal for eye candy a little too much (for example, you can't disable Mission Control animations without turning off SIP and installing a hack).

But I'm still all-in on Apple, because the ecosystem is great, the operating systems are mostly reliable, and the third-party app ecosystem is unbeatable (Things, Transmit, BBEdit, Ulysses, Soulver, Carbon Copy Cloner). No other OS comes close, if you just want to get things done and not waste your life fiddling around.
