Saw some news articles a few days back talking about the worst down market in 50 years, worse than 2008 etc. lasting 6 months like never before blah blah. That is certainly crazy so if you read that, you’d be thinking time to buy the dip like I am. However if you check out Dow from June 2007- Feb 2009, you’ll see the chart taking a slow correction curve much like the one we have, into an accelerated one, lasting 20 months. It pisses me off how these news articles are so fos. So what is the deal? Do we buy the dip now? Does the market turn around? It could certainly. The problem with the news, they can compare off points or percentages to fit their message. The reality is just look at the Dow chart, what happens when a pattern looks like the one we are in? To me 2008 is simplest to see something similar. So no this isn’t unprecedented, it isn’t something totally new like nothing else. I haven’t closed out of AMD and I still don’t think I will. I’m not buying Apple, Disney, Berkshire, Coca Cola, XOM, etc etc.. those are not good bargains yet. Not sure what I’m saying.. I guess AMD is a good stock, but the market simply sucks
