Daily Roundtable for June 22, 2017

Local politicians are really lost tbh. One Councilmember that happens to be a lawyer decided to pull out the good neighbor ordinance on a new local business recently (they did not violate it but it can be stretched to say they did). Anyway while he was flexing his ego during a council meeting, the representation for said business decided to say they might sue the City if they don't stop.

The fight doesn't end their. Another councilmember just had to say they would represent the other councilmember if it came down to that kind of suit.

It would be nice if we could fix roads, clean up our dog parks, have nice greens at our local golf courses, find a solution for composting and a whole bunch of other things... Better to just approve liquor licenses and dramatize a strip club that has a byob policy.

So I'm going to be taking that on in 2021. People want a responsive and up to date City that will guarantee jobs in the future, not just today.

Anyway Senator Fischer is announcing her campaign either tomorrow or this weekend. I honestly don't think democrats are putting up a candidate for Senate, any executive offices in Nebraska, or Governor.

We didn't even have a candidate for district 5 of OMAHA's City Council. We didn't have a candidate for district 4 either.

We have absolutely no bench here in Nebraska, yet we let people like Festersen and Jerram sit on the City Council for 3-4 terms.
