as a teenager i shoplifted video gamesall the time, and once i shoplifted skyrim for PC irl by opening the disc up at walmart and taking it plus writing down the code that was inside the box with a sharpie i also lifted from that same walmart. this was the time of smart phones and camera phones and shit but i was really poor and i had a super weird life so i didnt have a cell phone even in like 2011 or whenever that must've been. didnt get one til like 2015 lol.

but yeah i wrote down the code, took the disc, put the disc into my pc, and all it did was open the "redeem a key" window in steam

so in theory i could have just skipped taking the disc, and wrote down the code then went and hit the redeem a key button myself. but i didnt know that at the time

anyway, just a fun memory.
