Destiny response to Thorin's complaints about him being shutdown in debates. It would be great if we can find some actual examples of Thorin "gish galloping" to settle this.

shall we do this with the Unfiltered Esport #1? It appears clearly if you listen up to the 30' or something

1/ do you believe in region locking will revive interest in the game? 2/ So you think the biggest problem is not having enough viewers? 3/ so I presume you know how you get more viewers? 4/ But if you really knew how to, then you would have followed the market forces long time ago, naturally drifting towards changes of similar region locking nature! (around 30') 5/ Thus You hiding behind such ludicrous claim of "growing the game" is a fallacy (26') 6/ Thus I see you provide no evidence that region locking gives you more viewers 7/ can't you see region locking lessens the quality of participants? ( around 40'). What like Bly is the european soO? 8/ It even hurts the foreign scene, because now they have shit ladder (around 8') 9/ and we might miss the new Stephano, a fan messia that would pop out of nowhere (29') 10/ Thus WCS 2016 fucks Korean talents in favors of Foreign trash, and doesn't reward them based on the level of sacrifice and dedication they throw. (around 12') 11/ Korean scene has far less tournaments now, those doing that fail to qualify for the big 2, have nothing to do (7') 12/ in fact 2015 was at least better, since the mid tier Koreans were earning more than top foreigners, despite being significantly better. 13/ you entitled westerners are propagating this lie that Korean scene is this Mecca, and only caring about yourselves, and not getting outraged about the appalling practice and the shit state the Korean scene is in. (around 15', tired of checking back and forth) 14/ you continue to attack our work, and circle jerk about a clearly non click bait tweet title.

Conclusion: Why you want to take money from Dream to give it to Uthermal?

There are plenty of holes you can dismantle this logic with.

When Thorin points out foreign players earn more than they should. You counter that they managed to dissociate their income from their actual performance in tournaments. Otherwise they would have retired long time ago. Our cleaning carpet legend is a prime example. Naturally people like Fenner having to stream for a living will get shit tier ladder practice. Teams like EG are more entertainment driven than a team like mYi. Look at the talent that rose up in 2015 at a wcs foerigners Top level. Either accidents with no teams (Showtime), either players that were by online french monthly tournament for more than a year (Lilbow, Drogo, Marinelord) or live off their local subsidized Swedish/danish scene.

If he argues about Huk taking 1000$ worth of ramen cup from Korean pro stomachs, you counter that foreigners unlike Koreans, don't have "kespa". So what the fuck are these Kespa people doing?

When he goes around talking about market forces, you counter him. If it is all about business sense, why not instead of making exhibition tournaments all around the world backed with 60% koreans in the RO32. Why don't we invite 6 foreigners and fund 6 others through qualifiers to get into some Seoul IEM/DH Ro32 and stream that to the foreign scene? Probably cheaper. And more importantly they won't pull stunt like this shit. I thought it happened again in 2015 in IEM. But forgot the caster's name.

When he gloats about how 2015 was better, with more tournaments filled with Koreans and that Blizzard killed that. You counter all these foreign tournaments were attractive to koreans, because they had WCS points to earn from. All these 2015 WCS partners events are basically, korean tournaments, held in or outside korea, with little to no foreign presence. And their entire purpose is to secure a spot for blizzcon. They contribute nothing to foreign scene beside providing work for their organizers. Even worse, any tournament that wasn't WCS partnered was basically either online, community driven (with few money/talent) or huge failure. Richard Lewis knows that, since he hosted 2 Ginfinity summer last year, that had more casters than players, and ridiculously low viewership because they were scheduled right next to IEM and DH rounds!

When he talks about not having koreans in foreign region tournaments hurts the ladder. You call on his bs that getting rekt in a bo3 in DH group stages isn't practice time! And DH and IEM koreans top 4 are not playing on NA/EU servers! Thus the incentive of participating in your local DH isn't here to push laddering time up.

When he says "tweet title isn't click bait" you answer back that "SC2 esport? ded game, AYYYLMAO!" isn't one too! I mean what is it with you entitled millennials generation for being so outraged by truthiness in a headline like: "Will western civilization witness another Einstein? Probably not considering the autism pandemic PEPE". Why are you even denying blood diamonds don't exist?
