REALLY bad new hire. Seeking advice.

I can get behind this - thanks for offering a differing opinion here!

As for not understanding file explorer because you’re used to Mac, that’s fair. But it’s just the whole computer in general they don’t understand. We had to explain that you can still track your hours (which is done on the intranet) if you’re working remotely. You don’t physically have to be in the office to fill out a time sheet found online.

And then let’s imagine I did agree with you and I came off annoyed. Does that justify calling one of our other new people and complaining for 25 minutes? If she really felt I was annoyed could she not say something to me? Or even our manager? But complaining to someone else for nearly half an hour that started last week? That doesn’t seem right to me.

I also agree that one week isn’t enough to form an opinion, I’m just having a really bad first impression. As for copying and pasting sure there’s multiple ways to paste but why does it take three reminders after the initial question to remember how to paste? Can they not Google this? Can they not take a note? I know I’m the type that tries my best to find an answer myself and if I can’t I’m going to write the answer down once I ask so I know for next time. I’m feeling slightly optimistic about the situation at hand and hoping we can figure this out but based on the last few days I’m feeling a bit discouraged.
