I knew a woman who had been sexually abused by her father. When she told her mother she was shamed and told it was her fault. Fast forward that woman is now a mom of two girls. Her husband was a convicted pedophile and was abusing their two daughters. She knew. She stood by him even after he got convicted of SA two other little girls. Meanwhile her mom who was now old and disabled was living with them. She knew her granddaughters were being SA and told them to never tell.

I found all this out after my daughter spent the night at their house. He assaulted my child. I had never let her spend the night out before. I had met the parents at least half a dozen times. They seemed like good decent people who loved their kids.

If I had only taken the time to look up the dad's name. I would have seen he was a convicted pedophile. My daughter was 11yrs old. I will never forgive myself. She is 21 now and thriving but I failed my baby.
