Could've been ALLOT worse, I was once pulled over for going 20 under the speed limit on the left side of the highway (lol I was at like a (9) when it happened, don't recommend it). Cop pulls me over. He first explains why I got pulled over and than asks

"Do you have any weed?

Much like OP I was scared shitless, so I lied and said.

"Yeah, but it's my parents"

I had just bought a gram of straight keef from the dispensary so I wasn't trying to lose it.

The cop calls my bluff and pulls out his trump card

"Open your eyes for me"

I comply

"Now open your mouth"

I comply again

He pauses.

"I'm going to give you one more chance to tell the truth"

At this point I knew I was caught, so I went with the over respectful innocent white boy routine (this wasn't my first rodeo)

I come out with the big guns and start calling him Sir, cops like that kind of shit.

"I'm gonna be honest with you Sir, I don't want any trouble Sir, I was picking this up for my brother, I only took one hit, I'm not even that high!"

"Ok calm down, let me see the weed"

"Yes sir"

I reluctantly give him the 1 gram of beautiful gold powder I was planning on making last a week.

The cop looks at the bag with a confused look.

He asks, "How much did you pay for this?"

Not having a better answer I say $50 because that's how much I actually paid.

The cop starts laughing

"This looks like some pretty shitty stuff"

I think he thought the keef was really shitty grounded up weed or something I don't know. So in his eyes I was just a kid who got ripped off on some really shitty weed.

He goes to his car after throwing away the keef and then comes back to me

"Alright I'm going to give you a ticket but since you look like you don't really know what you're doing I'll cut you a break with the DUI"

Cop drives off and my 15 minute

Moral of the story, don't be at a (9) when you are behind the wheel and act really stupid and respectful when talking to a cop.

Close people in my life have gotten a DUI, it's not fun.
