Discussion thread for Peep Show S09E05 - "Kid Farm"

i keep seeing these posts analyzing the character's actions to an almost relentless degree, and i sort of have to take a step back and wonder why i'm watching the show in the first place.

the final season has been a total crowdpleaser. i don't think there's been a 'weak' season of peep show, but in its weaker moments i don't think its ever been because the characters act out of character. the show is utterly unrealistic and exaggerated as is, and i know there should still be rules in an exaggerated universe, i just don't think it really applies here.

if you watched this episode and this is your analysis than good on you, i guess i can't fault it and i usually cherish that sort of attention to detail....but idk, maybe its because i love the show so much, maybe its because ive come to take so much glee in it, but i simply accept the ridiculousness of the characters actions and enjoy their outcomes at this point.

mark having sex with april in that bathroom is one of the shows greatest moments. no matter what happens i'm so happy he at least pulled that off, after so many failed attempts it was fantastic to see and despite not being outwardly funny it was a total fist pump as a fan.

i can't help but look at your believable vs non believe analysis and just sort of shrug. i know its always good to be critical but its not like its hbo. peep show is its own breed and i think this season, like all 8 before it, has been utterly brilliant. this is the sort of post i expect to see on reddit but idk to see someone who loves the show enough to do this sort of analysis slag it because it doesn't fall in line with character archetypes i can't help but shrug.

loving the last season, flawed in some ways perhaps, but pretty perfect for a closer. literally my only complaint is i need more, it should've been 12 episodes....
